The new saloon will arrive in February to dealers

   Mercedes already accepts orders for the new Class A Sedan, the four-door saloon type body and separate boot; the new model will be added to the range in February. The available variants are the A 200, A 220 4Matic and the Diesel A 180 d. The first, associated with a manual change, costs from 32,725 euros although it will be marketed a few months later than its range brothers.

This new compact saloon of 4.55 meters in length has a battle of 2,729 meters, with a large space for the passenger compartment above all in the level of height to the roof in the rear seats. It equips new more efficient gasoline and diesel engines, the most advanced assistance systems and the Mbux infotainment system and Hey Mercedes audio control.

   With an aerodynamic coefficient of 0.22, the new Class A Sedan boasts to be the most aerodynamic passenger car among series-produced vehicles. The body facilitates easy access to the rear seats, the luggage capacity reaches 420 liters (slightly less in the diesel) and thanks to a wide loading opening with a width of 950 mm it is easy to introduce bulky bulks.


The new Class A is the first range of Mercedes with the innovative multimedia system Mercedes-Benz User Experience, which represents a turning point in the world of Mercedes me connectivity . The system is able to learn thanks to artificial intelligence and can be customized and adapted to the user and creates a link between the vehicle, the driver and the passengers.

As for the assistance systems, the car inherits some very advanced features of the S-Class for a clear improvement of active safety. It has new cameras and radars with a range of up to 500 meters that together with the cartographic data for driving assistance functions allows for the first time to circulate semi-autonomously in certain situations.


The standard equipment includes, among other elements, reversing camera, touch panel (Touchpad), Mbux with Hey Mercedes voice control, climate control, high performance LED headlights and 17-inch wheels. In principle, both gasoline and diesel engines are offered, all in combination with the efficient and more comfortable double-clutch seven-speed automatic transmission; they are efficient mechanics that comply with the limit values ​​according to Euro 6d Temp. Later the A 200 will arrive with manual change.

The engine of the A 200 generates a power of 163 CV that in the case of the automatic change results more efficient and even accelerates a little faster than the version with manual change. For the most demanding public, the most recommended option is the A 220 4Matic with a two-liter engine that yields 190 hp and a four-wheel drive system. With regard to diesel, is a mechanical 116 HP but with a consumption of only 4.2 liters.
